Andrew R. Hodges is a Veterans Disability Attorney at Berry Law whose practice focuses on helping former service members pursue the disability benefits they earned through military service. Based in Liberty, Missouri, he brings the perspective of a former Army infantryman to his legal work. He is admitted to practice in Missouri and before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri. Andrew approaches each matter with a vigorous commitment to advocacy, patience, and compassion, recognizing that Veterans deserve clear guidance as they navigate a process that can feel confusing and unpredictable.
For Andrew, effective representation begins with seeing each case through the client’s eyes. He understands that a claim or appeal is not simply a file to be processed: it concerns a person seeking help at a consequential time. He works to bring clarity to the process, explain what is happening, and pursue the benefits clients have earned. His approach is grounded in diligence and persistence, with a focus on giving each Veteran thoughtful attention and a committed advocate.
Andrew chose Berry Law for the sense of camaraderie and shared purpose he had valued during his military service. He wanted to be part of a close-knit team working toward a meaningful goal, and he is grateful for the opportunity to bring that same commitment to serving Veterans. At Berry Law, he works alongside colleagues he describes as highly skilled and experienced, while also collaborative and unassuming. He values the way the team works together toward a common objective: pursuing the strongest possible results for each client.
That team-first outlook shapes how Andrew approaches his own work. He sees representation as a responsibility to be carried out with care, not a routine exercise. Clients may encounter delays, uncertainty, and difficulty understanding what comes next. Andrew aims to provide steady, clear advocacy during that process and to remain engaged until the matter is resolved. He brings the same focus to every claim and appeal, while recognizing that each Veteran’s circumstances and needs are individual.
Before becoming an attorney, Andrew served in the United States Army for five years as an infantryman, MOS 11B. His service included a deployment with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) during Operation Southern Guardian. That experience gives him a direct
connection to the military community and a personal understanding of the transition from military to civilian life. He approaches his work with respect for the commitments Veterans made in service and the importance of helping them access the benefits they earned.
Andrew’s commitment is also shaped by personal experience with an uncertain transition back to civilian life and the fears that can accompany a major health diagnosis. He understands how difficult it can be to seek help while facing questions and delays, and how much a clear explanation and meaningful support can matter. Those experiences inform the empathy he brings to clients. He strives to listen carefully, understand what each person is facing, and advocate with the patience and compassion he believes Veterans deserve.
Andrew earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from American Military University in 2021 and a Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law in 2025. His listed education also includes an MA in Legal Studies and an MBA. He is admitted in Missouri and before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri.
Andrew brings his legal education, military experience, and commitment to teamwork to his work representing Veterans. He views advocacy as a way to return, in some measure, the dedication service members gave to their country. At Berry Law, he works to help clients find clarity in a complicated process and to pursue the benefits and results they deserve with diligence, patience, and compassion.
