About Randy
Practice Focus

Randy Blakely is a Veterans Disability Attorney at Berry Law. She represents Veterans pursuing the benefits and support they have earned through their service. Based in Chicago, Illinois, he is admitted to practice in Illinois and the District of Columbia. His commitment to this work is grounded in respect for military service and a desire to use his legal skills on behalf of people who have served the country. He approaches client service with an emphasis on awareness, communication, empathy, and the responsibility to advocate in a legal and ethical manner.

Randy believes that effective advocacy begins with taking a client’s needs seriously. He wants the people he serves to know that he genuinely cares about their circumstances and is committed to understanding what matters to them. That perspective shapes both his motivation and his approach to professional responsibility. He views his role as an opportunity to direct his skills toward the interests of others while remaining attentive to the individual behind each legal matter.

Commitment and Perseverance

Drive is a defining part of Randy’s professional outlook. He describes his path through the legal field as unique, humbling, and at times difficult. Those experiences have reinforced his determination to keep moving forward and to approach challenges with tenacity. Rather than presenting persistence as an abstract quality, he connects it to the effort required to pursue goals through uncertainty and setbacks.

That determination also informs how he thinks about serving clients. Randy’s motivation is not limited to completing a legal task; it includes a personal investment in using his abilities responsibly for people who need support. He pairs that drive with empathy, which he identifies as an important reason he is drawn to helping others. Together, those qualities shape a service-oriented approach centered on commitment rather than promises about a particular result.

Service to Veterans at Berry Law

Randy chose Berry Law because he found its mission to serve and advocate for Veterans both admirable and inspiring. He wanted to contribute his strengths as an attorney to people who have served the country and may need help advocating for themselves. For him, that work is a meaningful way to recognize the risks and sacrifices associated with military service.

He values the firm’s commitment to Veterans and its attention to changes in Veterans disability law. That focus aligns with his belief that clients need an advocate who remains aware of the legal environment while also communicating with care. He sees awareness, communication, and empathy as essential parts of serving Veterans, rather than separate concerns that sit outside the legal work.

His commitment to this community does not come from personal military service or his own experience applying for VA benefits. It comes from a desire to give back through the professional skills he has developed. He wants clients to understand that their needs matter and that he takes seriously the trust involved in asking an attorney for help. At Berry Law, his focus is on bringing that sense of responsibility to Veterans disability work.
