John Berry discusses what not to say to veterans in the workplace on the Voice America podcast. Call Berry Law, personal injury law firm in Nebraska and Iowa.
John Berry was a guest on Voice America’s podcast “Finding Your Frequency” with hosts Jeff Spendry and Ryan Treasure. In this podcast, they discuss some things you should not say to Veterans in the workplace.
On the episode, John explains “They have tried to remove the stigma in terms of seeking help. The military in general has put on a big campaign to get Veterans to seek help, to talk to somebody. I can think of a guy who was a 1st sergeant in Iraq and Afghanistan, and I served with him when I was a new lieutenant. He told me, ‘I just went in to get some Ambien and I came out and they diagnosed me with PTSD. This sucks.”
