In 1997, sleep apnea was not widely recognized and therefore this veteran was not service connected. Several years later, he asked his VA doctor to refer him to receive a sleep apnea test. After being diagnosed with sleep apnea, he tried to work with the VA to become service-connected. Once the first attempt was denied, he found himself tired of fighting the VA alone and contacted Berry Law. Veteran Advocate Seth Chambers assisted in appealing the claim in order to get this veteran receive the rating he deserves.
