Eddie Miranda is a VA-accredited attorney at Berry Law whose practice focuses on Veterans disability claims and appeals at both the administrative and appellate levels. He represents Veterans before the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the Board of Veterans’ Appeals, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. Recently admitted to practice before the CAVC—his first federal court admission—Eddie brings a disciplined, evidence-focused approach to cases involving complex legal standards, disputed factual records, and incorrect agency decisions. He is committed to helping Veterans build strong claims, challenge unfavorable rulings, and pursue the benefits they earned through military service.
At Berry Law, Eddie is part of a team devoted to serving former service members with strategic advocacy and careful case development. His work is grounded in the understanding that a disability claim or appeal is rarely just a legal matter in the abstract. For many clients, the outcome affects financial security, access to medical care, family stability, and long-term quality of life. Eddie approaches that responsibility with structure, precision, and respect for the people behind each case. He emphasizes developing a strong evidentiary record and presenting clear, persuasive arguments that help decision-makers understand both the facts and the legal significance of a Veteran’s claim.
Eddie’s commitment to Veterans advocacy is deeply rooted in personal experience. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he served from 2007 to 2015 as a Ground Communications-Electronics Technician and was honorably discharged as a sergeant. In 2012, he deployed to Afghanistan with the 1st Marine Division in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Through his service, Eddie gained firsthand insight into the demands of military life and the lasting effects service can have on the men and women who wear the uniform. That perspective shapes the way he represents clients today. He believes Veterans should not have to fight a second battle at home to receive the support and benefits promised to them, and he brings that conviction into every stage of his advocacy.
His military background also informs the way he works. Eddie is known for a highly structured, evidence-driven mindset that translates naturally to disability claims and appeals, where careful documentation and precise legal argument can make a decisive difference. He is dedicated to helping Veterans navigate a system that can feel technical, frustrating, and impersonal, while ensuring their cases are presented with clarity and force.
While at BU Law, he served as President of the BU Law Student Veterans Association and was an active member of the Latin American Law Student Association. His legal training also included serving as a Student Attorney with the Immigrants’ Rights and Human Trafficking Clinic and interning in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts. Together, those experiences strengthened his ability to analyze complex records, advocate in high-stakes matters, and serve clients with both professionalism and empathy.
Eddie is proud to bring that diverse legal background, along with the discipline and perspective he developed in the Marine Corps, to his work on behalf of Berry Law’s clients. His practice reflects a clear professional mission: helping Veterans navigate difficult legal terrain and pursue the benefits they have earned through service to their country.
