Ginny Powell Ebbert is Senior Counsel II at Berry Law, where her practice focuses on Veterans’ disability. Based in Baltimore, Maryland, she brings more than 20 years of injury and healthcare law experience to her work. Her background includes reviewing medical records, understanding diagnoses and treatment, working with medical experts, and assessing how injuries affect a person’s daily life. She pairs that experience with an emphasis on empathy, responsiveness, and clear communication.
Ginny understands that legal challenges involving health and injury often arise during stressful and uncertain periods. Throughout her career, she has worked with people facing those circumstances and has learned the importance of understanding the person behind the legal issues. Her approach begins with listening carefully, identifying what a client needs, and helping that person understand what is happening in the matter. She wants clients to feel comfortable asking questions and to know that their concerns will receive thoughtful attention.
Ginny believes Veterans need both compassionate support and an advocate who can work through complex medical information. Her years in injury and healthcare law have involved connecting records, treatment information, and expert input to the circumstances of an individual’s case. That experience informs the perspective she brings to Veterans disability work, where understanding medical evidence is an important part of evaluating a claim.
From 2009 through 2026, Ginny practiced in the Florida Panhandle community where she grew up. The area’s Army, Air Force, and Navy presence made servicemembers and military families a consistent part of her professional life. She provided legal services to servicemembers and volunteered with Special Forces groups in training exercises. Those experiences deepened a connection to military communities that also extends into her family life.
Ginny is the spouse of an Army Veteran with a 100 percent disability rating. Although she has not personally applied for VA benefits, she has walked beside her husband as he navigated the system. She has also helped him recover from service-connected injuries that continue to affect his daily life. That experience gives her a personal understanding of the challenges disability can create for both Veterans and their families.
Her decision to join Berry Law reflects a desire to devote her advocacy skills to those who have served. She was drawn to the firm’s commitment to Veterans, its reputation for skilled advocacy, and its Veteran-led foundation. She values a team that emphasizes preparation and understands the medical and legal complexity that can accompany disability matters.
For Ginny, meaningful service also requires availability and honest communication. She wants clients to know they are not alone, that their questions are welcome, and that someone is invested in understanding their situation. Her goal is to combine the analytical demands of legal work with the personal attention that helps people feel heard and respected.
Ginny earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, cum laude, from Florida State University in 2001 and graduated from Florida State University College of Law in 2005. She also holds a certification in Health Policy from Georgia State University. Her recognitions include numerous Martindale-Hubbell Client Champion Awards at the Silver, Gold, and Platinum levels.
She is admitted to practice in Florida. Her legal experience, personal connection to the Veteran community, and attention to complex medical issues inform the client-centered approach she brings to Berry Law.
