Natalie E. Gipson is a Veterans Disability Attorney and Senior Counsel I at Berry Law who brings more than 15 years of dedicated Veterans law experience to her practice. A VA-accredited attorney, she represents former service members in complex benefits matters with a style defined by deep case analysis, strategic thinking, and careful attention to the details that can determine the outcome of an appeal. Natalie is known for listening closely to client concerns, mastering the factual record, and analyzing the governing law to develop strong, client-specific strategies. Role at Berry Law

Natalie joined Berry Law in 2025 after serving for four years as an adjudicating attorney at the Board of Veterans’ Appeals. That experience gave her valuable insight into how Veterans’ claims are evaluated at a high level and strengthened her command of the legal and factual issues that often drive appeal outcomes. At Berry Law, she puts that knowledge to work for clients by helping craft winning strategies, anticipating legal hurdles, and ensuring each claim is developed with rigor and precision.

Before joining Berry Law, Natalie also built substantial experience advocating for wounded and ill Soldiers in the Integrated Disability Evaluation System. In that role, she helped service members remain in service or pursue the maximum benefits available upon discharge. Combined with her work in appellate practice early in her career at the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal, that background gives Natalie an unusually strong blend of appellate discipline, administrative law insight, and practical advocacy on behalf of Veterans and military families.

Service to Veterans

Natalie’s commitment to serving Veterans is deeply personal. Although she is not a Veteran, she comes from a long line of men and women who served in the U.S. military, and she is also a military spouse. During her husband’s 20-plus years of active-duty Army service, culminating in his retirement as a Colonel, Natalie supported military families as a Family Readiness Group leader and community liaison. Through those roles, she provided guidance, stability, and advocacy to families navigating the pressures and uncertainties of military life.

Her connection to the military community informs the way Natalie serves clients today. She understands that being heard matters. In one especially meaningful client interaction, a client told her after an initial meeting and case review that she was the first person in 20 years who had truly listened and heard them. That kind of trust is central to Natalie’s work. She recognizes that effective representation begins with taking a client’s experience seriously and building a legal strategy that reflects the full reality of what they have lived through.

Background & Interests

Natalie is a graduate of Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert School of Law. She began her legal career in appellate practice at the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal, where she developed the analytical discipline and legal insight that continue to shape her advocacy today.

Her work has earned significant recognition, including the Judge Henry A. Politz Scholar distinction, The Yellow Rose of Texas Award for community volunteerism, and the Department of the Army Superior Civilian Service Award. These honors reflect both professional excellence and a longstanding commitment to service beyond the courtroom.

Outside of her legal practice, Natalie is a wife, mother, community volunteer, and bone marrow donor. Her life reflects a consistent commitment to compassion, service, and responsibility—qualities that carry through every aspect of her work on behalf of Veterans.
