About Stacey
Practice Focus

Stacey Koller is a Veterans Disability Attorney at Berry Law whose practice is centered on helping former service members pursue fair compensation through VA disability claims and appeals. Based in Salt Lake City, she brings a strong background in written advocacy to a practice area where clear, persuasive legal writing can be outcome-determinative. Stacey’s academic training in communications and technical writing informs the way she builds and presents cases, and she values crafting appeals that are not only legally sound, but also specific, human, and responsive to the Veteran’s lived experience. She understands that the VA often evaluates disability claims primarily through the written record, and she approaches that reality with precision, empathy, and care.

Role at Berry Law

Stacey began working at Berry Law in 2023 as a Law Clerk and remained with the firm after earning her Juris Doctor from Creighton School of Law in 2024. Her transition from law clerk to Veterans Disability Attorney reflects both her commitment to the firm’s mission and the strength of the foundation she built while supporting clients and learning the practical demands of this area of law. At Berry Law, Stacey values being part of a culture where compassionate client care and strong results are treated as equally important. She considers it a privilege to represent the men and women who defended the United States Constitution, and she is dedicated to helping ensure that each client is evaluated fairly for the compensation they deserve.

Service to Veterans

What most motivates Stacey is the opportunity to connect directly with clients and understand how military service affected their lives. She believes that learning Veterans’ stories allows her to write more personal, persuasive appeals and advocate in a way that reflects the full impact of a service-connected condition. She finds it especially meaningful to help clients with difficult or stubborn claims finally obtain service connection, and she has spoken about how humbling it is to see what that recognition means to a Veteran. Stacey’s approach combines persistence with humility: she is prepared to work tirelessly in pursuit of a claim, while also collaborating with colleagues who have deeper experience in niche issues, so clients receive the most efficient and effective service possible.

Her practice is rooted not only in legal skills, but also in communication. She enjoys hearing clients’ stories, translating those experiences into compelling advocacy, and helping Veterans feel seen within a system that can otherwise feel impersonal. That ability to combine careful writing with meaningful client relationships is central to the way she serves Berry Law’s clients.

Background & Interests

Before law school, Stacey earned an undergraduate degree in Communications and a master’s degree in Technical Writing from Utah Tech University. She puts that additional training to practical use in her work every day, especially in the written appeals that are so central to Veterans' disability advocacy.

Outside of work, Stacey enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and reading. She is grateful to serve clients across the country and appreciates the freedoms their service protects.
